About the collection
The collection Eric and Marion Crince Le Roy consists of approximately 500 pieces of traditional silver and gold jewellery from Egypt.
Eric and Marion lived in Egypt for many years and built up an important reference collection of Egyptian jewellery. They wanted to safeguard Egypt’s traditional jewellery and assemble a collection that reflected its variety.
The collection holds many types of bracelets from the Nile Valley and the oases, as well as a selection of Egyptian zar jewellery. Marion also selected a few items of traditional gold jewellery. The Eric and Marion Crince Le Roy collection is important for its regional variety and eye for exceptional quality.
We are currently working to photograph each piece in detail and to provide accurate descriptions and cultural background information as well as references.
